Arctic Fox Mask AAA 1-9 Chartreuse Green Tint

The dyed Arctic fox mask is a natural material used in fly tying, derived from the skin of the Arctic fox's head, whose hairs have been dyed in various bright or natural colors .

It is a piece of fur comprising different areas (cheeks, nape of the neck, around the eyes), offering a wide variety of fine, soft and mobile fibers, ideal for imitating the natural movements of prey in the water.

Main features

  • Long and very mobile hairs : give a fluid and lively swimming action.
  • Soft and fine fibers : perfect for wings, tails or ruffs.
  • Wide variety of lengths depending on the area of the mask.
  • Varied dye : attractive colors for different conditions (tinted water, clear water, low light).

Uses in assembly

The dyed Arctic fox mask is very versatile:

  • Salmon and steelhead fly wings
  • Collars (soft hackles)
  • Streamer queues
  • Bodies mixed with other materials
  • Perfectly mimics natural underwater movements
  • An excellent alternative to more rigid materials.
  • Easy to work with and attach

It is a material highly valued by salmon fly tiers for its flexibility, mobility and ability to bring flies to life.
